Soldiers of Sacrifice

Soldiers of Sacrifice is a sculpture which was created to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the D Day landings and is modelled on soldier Den Brotheridge, who was the first allied soldier to have been killed on the beaches in June 1944..  Commissioned by Portsmouth council Soldiers of Sacrifice has, after a  tour of he UK and Northern France, come to rest at its permanent home in Portsmouth at the D Day story museum.
